Exciting News!  The installation of the new multi-row state of the art irrigation system is near completion.  All that remains to be installed is the fertigation installation.  Once this is installed, we will be able to fertilize the golf course with liquid injected fertilizers at the same time the golf course is being watered.  The coverage of our new irrigation system waters over eighty acres of the golf course and at a watering window of approximately seven hours.  The new irrigation system covers twice as much in one-half as much time.  A sincere thank you is extended to the entire membership for your support and commitment of this new irrigation system.  Within just a couple more weeks, you will begin to see the benefits of the new system in regards to the improved playing conditions.    

The next projects for consideration include the installation of the deck as well as the minor refurbishing of the kitchen and clubhouse.  The tentative timeline on the above is projected with a fall of 2010 or spring of 2011 deck installation followed by the kitchen and clubhouse refurbishing.   

We hope that you share in the continued excitement as the long range projects are completed.  Please remember that following the deck and kitchen and clubhouse repairs will be the: Short Game Practice Area / Par 3 Course construction, Pool Patio furniture upgrade, 10th Hole Culvert replacement and the addition of Four Forward Tees. 

Please remember that all of the previously approved long range projects will be completed within a timely manner and according to the project cash flow analysis.  This cash flow method allows Midvale Country Club to loan one-half of the project costs resulting in a decreased liability of interest payments.  This method and your patience will result in the savings of hundreds of thousands of dollars of interest. 

As a reminder to all members, these projects will continue to move forward with your previously approved monthly commitment of $59/month for Golf members and 416/month for our  Social/Pool/Tennis members.  This commitment is approved for fifteen years with a reduced monthly obligation to the golf members after ten years.  To date, the Long Range Planning Committee is proud to announce that they are slightly under budget after the first two projects are complete.
